Chorus

Our chorus consists of students in grades 6th - 8th. The average number of students with the combined classes is around 70 students. The students meet by semester and include some after school rehearsals. The chorus has multiple concerts throughout the semester/year. The concerts include a Halloween concert, Veterans Day Concert (combined with band), Christmas Cabaret Concert (combined with the Muscle Shoals High School Chorus), Black History Program, and Spring Concert (combined with the Muscle Shoals High School Chorus). They attend the annual State Choral Performance Assessment every year. Many of the students are involved in multiple honor choirs, musicals (school and local theatre) as well as multiple Arts classes such as band and art. Multiple students are chosen to attend local honor choirs and every year have students to be chosen for the Alabama All State Chorus Festival. The goal of the Muscle Shoals Middle School Chorus is to educate excellence to our students as well as community. It is an honor to be in this chorus. The Muscle Shoals Middle School has a show choir and they do the same as the chorus including a spring trip for recordings and to showcase our music program. We also have a Spring Musical that involves grades Kindergarten to 8th grade. The spring musical is a great way to bring together multiple grades in a fun program from Broadway.
