Shoals Spark

Shoals Spark is an idea competition for students in grades 6-8 that takes place in the spring. It fosters ingenuity and entrepreneurship among young people. Entry is open to any student who registers through Google Classroom.  Announcements, the school newsletter, classroom visits, and teacher recruitment are all ways in which students get involved in the annual competition. Students may compete individually or in small teams. Once enrolled, students work through the creative process on their own schedule outside of school to meet deadlines and goals posted through Google Classroom. Teams/individuals who advance to the final round of competition are required to present one time in Florence after school hours.
