Academics
At the heart of Muscle Shoals Middle School is our expectation of always achieving at the highest level of academics. Students at MSMS receive quality instruction from a highly qualified, dedicated faculty and staff in all core academic areas including math, language arts, science, and social studies.
In addition to these core grade level classes, we also offer several options for advanced-level learners. MSMS offers advanced math and seminar math classes in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. We also offer Honors Science and Language Arts classes for eighth grade students. We have a variety of elective classes including art, advanced art, computer science, career prep, and keyboarding. MSMS also offers three Project Lead the Way classes to students in sixth through eighth grades that focus on engineering and design, robotics, and aerospace engineering.
