Assistant Principal

I would like to take a moment to say hello and share a little about myself.  I am beginning my fifth year as Assistant Principal at MSMS.  I have served as an educator in the Muscle Shoals City School system since 2005.  In my first 16 years, I was a fourth grade Math, Science, and History teacher at McBride Elementary School and coached softball at Muscle Shoals High School with my wife Jill Green, who also teaches at Highland Park Elementary School.  I have been extremely blessed to have worked with so many outstanding educators over my time in the MSCS school system and to have had the opportunity to coach so many quality student/athletes with my wife.

Jill and I have been married 16 years and have one daughter, Tatum.  I am originally from Danville, Kentucky, but I have lived in Alabama since 2003.  Before moving to Alabama to begin my teaching career, I lived in Buffalo, NY, and Pittsburgh, PA due to my previous career in public relations, marketing, and banking.  I currently hold a B.S. degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Sports Management (which is what led me to Buffalo, NY after graduating my first go-around).  I then obtained my bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2003.  Recently, I earned my master’s degree and Eds in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama and the University of North Alabama.

I look forward to another great school year at MSMS.  Go Trojans!
